Information collected
The enquiry form collects your name, phone number, email address, Cape Town area or suburb, service type, property type and any optional message you provide. It also generates a lead identifier and submission timestamp. Standard hosting and analytics systems may process technical information such as browser, device and page-visit data.
Why the information is used
- To receive, qualify and route your plumbing enquiry.
- To allow the tenant plumber to contact you about the requested service.
- To protect the site, diagnose delivery problems and measure whether enquiries are submitted successfully.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
How a lead moves through the site
Your browser sends the form to the site’s /api/lead function. That function forwards the submitted fields to a lead-routing webhook configured securely by the site owner. The routing service then makes the enquiry available to the current tenant plumber. The website repository does not contain the webhook address and does not create a separate file-based copy of the lead.
Sharing and service providers
Enquiry details may be shared with the tenant plumber and with providers needed to host, secure, analyse and route the site. Information should not be sold as a general marketing list or distributed to a directory of competing plumbers. A disclosure may also be made where required by law.
Retention and security
This is a new site and is not yet handling established lead volume. The site owner should set documented retention periods with the routing provider and tenant plumber, keeping personal information only as long as needed for the enquiry, legitimate records and legal obligations. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards should be applied, but no internet transmission is risk-free.
Your POPIA-related rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether personal information is held, request access to it, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, object to certain processing, request deletion where retention is no longer justified, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, or complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator.
Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics 4 is loaded only when the site owner configures a measurement ID. It can record page activity and a generate_lead event after a successful form submission, including the selected service type. The site owner should align any cookie or consent controls with the final analytics configuration before launch.
Contact details before launch
The site owner must publish a working privacy contact or Information Officer channel here before the site accepts live enquiries. Until that detail is configured, do not treat this draft policy as a complete launch-ready legal notice.
